[Sheri Reynolds] -- Ninah Huff, the teenage granddaughter of the founder of an isolated religious community, causes controversy when she is discovered to be pregnant with what she claims is a holy child. Rapture of Canaan not very rapturous I didn’t dislike the book, and I tried to like it. There were too many unresolved things at the end and it didn’t all hang together for me, even though I liked the ending. I adored the main character and her grandmother, everyone else didn’t seem well developed.
